🎧 What about my old versions of the audiobooks?

If you purchased the old versions, they’ll still be wherever you purchased them from! You may need to re-download them if you’ve cleared them from your device, but they should still be there. If you borrowed them through a program like Audible Plus, then the borrowed versions will no longer be accessible.

Note about Audible: There’s no easy way to distinguish between Audible titles that were purchased or borrowed. So if you feel like a title is no longer available in error, I’d try reaching out to Audible Support to see if they can check on the situation from their end.

🎧 Can I get the new audiobooks for free?

Alas, no, as these are completely new versions. That means three new narrators were paid, along with a new audiobook director, a new sound engineer, new beta listeners—the whole shebang from soup to nuts is brand (spanking!) new.

If you’ve purchased the old versions, however, you’ll still have those! Additionally, these new versions will be available for your local library to carry! So if money is a concern, you can listen to them for free with a library card via a service like Hoopla or Libby— or you can submit a request for purchase form to your library if they don’t have them in their catalog yet.
